Heavily influenced by architectural angles, Dmitry Samal's concept sunglasses for Louis Vuitton are the perfect progression for Kanye West from his ubiquitous louvre shades.

These sculptural masterpieces are in fact shoes. Constructed from a single piece of carbon fibre, laminated with rubber for the soles and leather on the side that touches the skin. The carbon fibre wraps around the wearers foot forming support for both the heel and the ball of the foot.
With my own slightly avant-garde sartorial leanings being questioned recently by a trashy tabloid writer with doubtful qualifications to be making such judgements, I can take respite in the splendor that is David Bowie. Pictured here in one of the many creations made for him by Japanese designer Kansai Yamamoto.

If you haven't yet heard of fashion designer Iris van Herpen, you soon will. The Dutch fashion designer only graduated from fashion design school in 2006, and already is making ensembles that would rival anything from either McQueen or Viktor & Rolf. She has developed a strong signature style that includes sculptural 3D elements and intricate weaving and fringe detailing to beautiful effect.
Fashion designer Alexander McQueen is a creative genius. While the rest of the fashion world is experimenting with sky high eye catching heels, McQueen takes the concept of the "it" shoe one step further towards the outrageous with his recent collection for Spring 2010. Referencing a vast array of reptiles from both land and sea with the shoes colours and patterns, McQueen seems to reference two toed livestock with the shoes actual shapes. Love them or hate them, there is no denying the designers ability to create something visually amazing.
There is no denying the design genius of Dutch fashion design duo Viktor & Rolf. Their Spring 2010 collection uses illusion and 3D effects to create unique one of a kind designs that are sure to turn heads on the red carpet.
British Designer Jasper Morrison has launched his long awaited watch collection for Rado. The two have been collaborating for some time now, with Morrison originally creating the packaging for the brand. His foray into watches is typical of both Rado's and the designers minimalist aesthetic. The chronograph design is reduced to essential elements, limited to three hands, two counters, and a date at 3 o'clock. Activation of the chronograph is through gently curved rectangular ceramic pushers.
Handmade in Portland, Oregon and constructed from local woods the Canby takes on the famous shape of the James Dean classic from the 1950's. Available in zebrawood, wenge and maple, each pair comes equipped with a choice of Carl Zeiss or polarized lenses to complete the look.

In what seems to be a growing trend, a number of incredibly talented fashion designers are employing the techniques of the centuries old craft of knitting to create their amazing garments. Jemma Sykes is one such designer. The above dress "The Elizabeth" was entirely knitted by hand, and the outcome is quite simply exquisite. The dress, designed as a bridal gown, was recently auctioned to benefit breast cancer in the UK, which makes it's dusty pink hue even more significant and appealing.
