Designed as a small small table and made entirely of recycled oak, the Melting Table by Artype Design took four weeks to create.

Using sound recordings taken from the streets of Cairo, designer Daniel Dendra created the complex patterns that feature on the underside of the Cairo Table. The asoustically-inspired topography meets perfectly flush with the table's base.
As per many of German designer Konstantin Grcic designs, the Extrusion Table's minimal profile hides the complex technical development that has gone into creating this piece.
