Claire Sullivan - Tuesday, August 04, 2009

Reminiscent of a bird's nest made from branches, 'Brut' designed by Berlin design studio Ett La Ben is a well thought out wardrobe rack, perfect for hanging tee-shirts, scarves and jackets. Coated with a pigmented resin in order to emphasise the aesthetic nature of young branches, the structure gives enough transparency, thanks to its wide gaps, to see even the most forgotten items of clothing.

To see more of their work go here.

Cappellini is available from Georgigregg Home.

A pile of suitcases by Casamania.

Claire Sullivan - Monday, May 18, 2009

This stack of suitcases is in fact a cunningly disguised wardrobe system by Belgium designer Maarten de Ceulaer for Casamania. Steel profiles keep the structure firmly together, and each compartment differs with it's internal shelves and racks to allow for various compositions.

Casmania is available from Matisse.
