These lights are certainly not the friendliest looking lights I've ever seen, but they do make a statement. Designer Ana-Maria Pasesca Stewart, inspired by a hangman's noose, used thick ropes with power cables woven into the centre to create this effect. Each light can operate with an industrial pulley system allowing the owner to adjust the height. In my opinion, these are best suited to high-studded ceilings against a minimalist backdrop - we wouldn't want dinner guests to get the wrong idea now would we.
